Mauricio Pochettino believes the support from Tottenham fans has helped Moussa Sissoko to find his feet in his team.
Sissoko, 29, has been in good form and impressed in the 3-1 win over Chelsea on Saturday.
The midfielder s re-emergence has earned him a recall to the France squad and has helped Spurs overcome the loss of Mousa Dembele to injury.
Sissoko, a reported £30million signing from Newcastle United in 2016, has not always been a fan favourite but the opinion on him appears to have changed as he received a warm reception during Saturday s victory over Chelsea.
We need to fight with perceptions, of the media, of fans. It was easy to blame him, Pochettino said.
I m happy with him, he has improved a lot from since he signed here.

Looking to rebuild after the international break, Wolves will welcome Huddersfield to Molineux on Sunday afternoon.
Wolves
Starting with Nuno Espirito Santo s side, while Wolves do have the dream of securing a top half finish following their return to the Premier League, Sunday s hosts did show some signs of a struggle prior to the International break. Now picking up just one point from the last 12 up for grabs, their Portuguese boss will be demanding they build on their 1-1 draw at the Emirates a fortnight ago. Putting in an impressive showing in North London, Wolves would have been disappointed to have left without all three points. While they might be looking for their first Premier League win s…
Cristiano Ronaldo would be an AC Milan player if the incumbent owners had been in charge earlier in the close-season, according to former sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli.
Five-time Ballon d Or winner Ronaldo ended an illustrious nine-year stay at Real Madrid when he completed a €112million switch to reigning Serie A champions Juventus last July.
However, Mirabelli claims the Portugal superstar was ready to complete a move to San Siro until Li Yonghong s ill-fated regime blocked the deal prior to hedge fund Elliott Management assuming control of the club.
It was something we talked about with Jorge Mendes, Mirabelli, who was sacked shortly after the takeover, told Sportitalia.
We knew there could be problems with Real [and Ronaldo]. We did e…
